We all know Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather Jr. believes he can win against Manny Pacquiao on their Mega Fight on May 2nd--but his old man, is apparently unsettled with that.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. said that his son can not only win against Pacquiao, but also against Juan Manuel Marquez, both--on the same night!

As we all know. Manny Pacquiao made his professional basketball debut last October 2014, being the owner/playing coach of Kia Sorento in the opening game of the PBA's (Philippine Basketball Association) 40th season.

Though he has yet to sank a field goal in his PBA career, the playing coach scored his first ever point on a free throw against the defending champion Purefoods Tender Juicy yesterday, February 28,2015.

Shortly after Pacquiao got his first point, his boxing rival Floyd Mayweather Jr., being the competitive man that he is, posted a video on his Instagram to show off his own hoops skills. He sank 3 straight shots on the corner including one with a single hand.

It looks like Mayweather is trying to tell the rest of the world how better he is compared to Pacquiao. This is going on for very long.
We all know there's only one way to end this once and for all... and this doesn't get us any closer, Floyd!

5 Reasons Why Manny Pacquiao Can Beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.

As we all know, every boxing fan are now excited to watch Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight on the ring. Some say Manny will KO Floyd, some say Floyd will win via decision.

Based from the fights between these two prize fighters, we think that Manny Pacquiao has a slight edge over the undefeated Floyd Mayweather. Here are 5 reasons why:

(Source: sportskeeda.com) (Source: sportskeeda.com)

1. Manny is a Southpaw volume puncher.

Floyd has trouble fighting southpaws--especially against elite fighters.

According to boxing promoter Bob Arum, Mayweather is "scared to fight left handed boxers like Pacman."

Arum said, “I promoted the guy for 10 years, and I know how difficult it was to get him in the ring with any southpaw. When you talk about a southpaw who can move like Manny, that’s not the kind of opponent that Mayweather feels he would do well against.”

Floyd's best defense, his shoulder roll is made to defend orthodox boxers, but that is not very effective against southpaws.

2. Floyd falls a little shorter on hand speed.

Both of them have good hand speed but with Manny still at advantage. Floyd can throw counter punches quickly. Manny on the other hand, can throw from different directions, which gives him the advantage. He has even been labeled by other boxers as invisible because of his unmatched speed. Floyd could defend against some of the punches Manny can throw, but probably not all of it.

3. Manny has the better footwork.

Manny is very elusive. When was the last time you saw Manny trapped in the ropes? Not even against bigger men with longer reach.  He uses his footwork to get away from danger. He also uses it to keep his balance while throwing combinations and godspeed punches.

4. Manny is physically stronger than Floyd.

Manny has an advantage when it comes to power. Some boxing fans say that Floyd is boring whenever he fights  because he doesn't have enough power to knock out his opponents. While on the other hand, Manny Pacquiao is knocking out bigger guys than him and that's what he is famous for.

5. Manny has an unrelenting stamina.

Manny is like a machine inside the ring. He is always moving and throwing punches and doesn't seem to wear off the power easily. Right now, he isn't performing as strong as he used to when he was younger, but when you can still throw gazillion punches without getting tired, the odds are with you.

My conclusion is still just a mere theory until they actually fight in the ring. This is just my opinion and  somebody else might be thinking there are 5 or even more reasons why Mayweather can beat Pacquiao.

Then again, I must say, there's only one way to find out.
