The lady attempted to clear the insects away with her hand but started to lose her cool after one landed on her lips.

Katya Leick was conveying the news from an army base in Fort Reilly when the insects launched their unrelenting assault

Katya 24, attempts to remain composed, letting out the incidental squeal as she bats the insects away with her hand.

But it all got a bit much for her after one of the bugs landed on her lip - causing to let out a scream.

Katya reporting for KSNT News in North Kansas, attempts to start the recording twice after calming herself down but eventually seeming to give up saying: "OK, no, not doing it."

Moments later she tells the cameraman: "Let's get it done so I can get out of here."
