You are not being deceived. The controversy is real: a construction company in China has constructed a whole 57-storey building in only 19 days.

Furthermore as this time-slip feature demonstrates, the Mini Sky City building was set up step by step at a rate of three full stories a day in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province in south-central China.

The building has 800 rooms and enough office space for 4,000 people, sources say. It was originally planned to go as high up as 220 storeys, however it was chopped down due to its location being near an airport.
